Hi! My name is Kevin, and I’m an instructional designer. After spending twelve years as a professional videographer, I determined that just making videos wasn’t bringing me the joy that it used to. After a while, I had to sit down and determine what did bring me joy. I love telling stories and communicating. I love learning new things and transferring that knowledge to others. If only there was a field that could combine communication skills and learning! That is when I discovered instructional design and began my journey down my new career path.
Currently I am an instructional design student, but I have already learned so much about what goes into creating quality learning content. I believe that combining my creative and storytelling skills as a veteran videographer with the learning and instructional theory and skills as an instructional designer, gives me a unique perspective into the field that I can utilize to create engaging, story-driven learning content alongside subject matter experts and university professors that will empower learners.
